The NIHR CLAHRC Oxford is a partnership between universities, healthcare commissioners and providers in the region of Oxford and the Thames Valley, hosted by Oxford Health NHS Foundation. They carry out groundbreaking applied health research that will have a direct impact on patient health and well-being

The NIHR CLAHRC Oxford funds researchers across the University of Oxford and their partner organisations, who work together on applied health projects across five key themes:

  • Early intervention and service redesign
  • Behaviour change: exercise and rehabilitation ('Health behaviours and behavioural interventions')
  • Patient experience and patient reported outcomes
  • Better management of medical-psychiatric multimorbidity
  • Patient self-management of chronic disease
  • Behaviour change: diet and obesity

They work with patients and the public in all of their research projects to help shape and refine each one, ensuring they are helping to resolve real-world problems in the best possible way.
