Collaborative priority setting for wound care uncertainties in Greater Manchester community services

What are we trying to do?

We will facilitate a collaborative process, enabling healthcare professionals and operational managers to gather and prioritise uncertainties (or their ‘unanswered questions’) in relation to wound care and the delivery of wound care services.

Why is it important?

In order to develop a future wound care research and implementation agenda to meet local healthcare needs, it is important that we work with local stakeholders to identify and prioritise topics for such future research and implementation activities.

How will we do it?

We will gather and prioritise uncertainties using a collaborative process involving healthcare professionals and operational managers involved in wound care and wound care services on a day-to-day basis. Use of collaborative processes is known to improve the quality and relevance of research, and can help to foster local ownership of research findings, supporting their meaningful translation into clinical practice and service delivery.
